"Its Not Just a Job, Its a Vocation"
I began my dance journey ate age 2 and joined East Lancs School of Dancing at age 4. I performed in my first ballet when I was 7 years old touring with Northern Ballet in The Nutcracker. I attended Royal Ballet & Elmhurst Associate Programmes from the age of 9. At age 11, I successfully gained a place at Elmhurst Ballet School, where I trained until I was 16. Whilst training, I perform with Birmingham Royal Ballet in Cinderella & Giselle.
I continued my vocational training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland beginning my degree, BA Modern Ballet. Due to injury, my career path changed and I began training as a dance teacher and finished my studies at Preston Dance College. I graduated in July 2022 with a BA Dance Performance, Choreography and Teaching alongside completing her teaching qualifications with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. Alongside my training I gained my Module 1 Acrobatic Arts and Progression Ballet Technique Certification.
What I love about Dance
When I was younger I wanted to be a professional ballerina or performer. I loved being up on stage performing and watching the Vienna State Ballet Performance on New Year’s Day on the TV.
I would often was spotted leaping down path on the way to school practicing new steps I’d learnt in my private lessons. Dance made me feel a sense of freedom and joy.
Favourite thing about teaching
I am able to pass on my passion and knowledge of dance to the next generation of young people, watching them grow and develop into beautiful dancers.
Every child that enters the dance studio, I want to feel that they are in a safe environment where they can explore their creativity, and their imagination can grow through art of dance.
Hobbies outside of dance
I enjoy walking, travelling, and spending time with friends and family. Although this year, myself and my partner have just bought our first home and most of our time is spent renovating at the moment.
